Better known as the “Plant Lady”, Linda enjoyed hours working in her flower beds enhancing her small cottage and community year-round with beautiful flowers and plants. She loved helping those with “black” thumbs plant foliage that would enhance and beautify their own yards. Linda enjoyed looking out her large window, watching the wildlife that came to visit; finches, red birds, doves, does and their fawns, while running off the turkeys who were drinking the “bird and deer” water from the bird bath. Long golf cart rides down by the lake that encompassed her small retirement community allowed Linda to relax and enjoy the scenery and reminisce about the times her father would bring her and her brother to Lake Benbrook to swim, fish, or just have fun in the water. She also enjoyed getting to know those who were around her; estate sales (and getting driven off private property by the MP), eating ice cream from Braum’s with dear friends and going to Campo Verde for good food and to watch the trains and enjoy the Christmas decorations. She loved taking photos of what some would call mundane; waterfalls, babbling creeks, trees, fields of flowers, clouds, or whenever she saw something that caught her eye. She delighted in long, early autumn treks in the woods and mountains of Idaho with her oldest, Chris. Most of all, she cherished her family and loved Jesus, hard and strong.
If you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Acts of Grace Benevolence Fund at Southcliff Church in Linda’s memory.
