Linda Ellen Lathrom Johnson was born October 6, 1937, the daughter of Kenneth and Clella Garner Lathrom in the Missouri Ozarks of Wright County. Celebration of Life: 2:00 pm Monday at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes in Fort Worth.
After high school, Linda accepted a position in Fort Worth in the personnel department of Convair (later known as General Dynamics). She met and married the love of her life, Norman Johnson in 1960. They were blessed with three children. Linda and Norm enjoyed many things, especially motorcycles and were members of the Cycle Club of Fort Worth. They owned and operated Johnson Grocery on Hemphill unitlNorm passed away from an illness in 1981. Besides being a loving mother, Linda possessed a great gift of caring for those she loved. Later in life, she experienced the joy of reuniting with her first born daughter, Georgiann. Linda was well known as Grandma by all her children and grandchildren’s friends. She touched the lives of so many of her friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Linda has joined in Heaven her husband, Norman Johnson; sister, LouAnn Nettleton; brothers, Wesley D. Lathrom and Wallace Lathrom.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Georgiann Sanders (Michael) of Santa Fe, TX, Normalyn Dillard (Charles) of Burleson, Monica Johnson Morgan of Burleson; son, Kenneth C. Johnson of Burleson, step-son, Sterling Johnson of Littleton, CO; sisters, Audrey Thomas (Mike) of Winter Haven, FL, Diane Yates (Rick) of Fayette, MO; brother, Larry Lathrom (Elaine) of Mineral Wells; grandchildren; J.W. Morgan, Norman Johnson, Carly Johnson, Travis Bentley, Blake Cunningham, Devon Johnson; four great grandchildren, extended family and dear friends.
