Leila Michel Bazourji Hedary

Leila was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on October 5, 1943. She met Antoine Hedary in Beirut and got married in 1957. Leila and Antoine went on to have nine children together. In 1976, they opened a family restaurant together, Hedary’s, on the west side of Fort Worth. The restaurant would become an institution in Dallas-Fort Worth. Leila regarded Fort Worth as her home for over 49 years.

Leila was a proud business owner and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a nurturer and cooked amazing meals that brought families together. Leila was very active in the church, regularly participating and contributing as a devout Catholic. She lived a full life with her family and friends and will be missed beyond words.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Hedary (Arlete), George Hedary (Elizabeth), Fanie Tabet (Mouhib), Marios Hedary, Christine Hedary, Mariz Khoury, Frank Hedary, Clara Hedary and Liliane Garza (Marcus), grandchildren, Tony Tabet, Alida Tabet, AJ Hedary (Elissa), Elaine Hedary, Hedy Hedary-Pena (Jason), George Abi-Hanna, Olivia Hedary, Rami Khoury, Christian Khoury, Andre Khoury, Dylan Khoury, Elvis Hedary, Anjolie Hedary, Nina Garza, Nicholas Garza and Chloé Hedary and great-grandchildren, Aubreanah Madrid-Tabet , Patrick Juarez, Ema Juarez, Trinidad Hedary, Aleena Arreguin, Alayla Pinales, Juliana Hedary and Jesiah Aragon-Hedary and brother, George Bazourji.

She is preceded in death by her forever love, Antoine Hedary, her father, Michel Bazourji and mother, Marie Baladi and sisters, Alice Feghali (Joseph), Laudi Bazourji, and Nouhad Zeytoune (Georges).

Serving as pallbearers are: Joseph Hedary, George Hedary, Marios Hedary, Frank Hedary, Rami Khoury, Christian Khoury, Andre Khoury, Dylan Khoury, George Abi-Hanna, Elvis Hedary and Nicholas Garza.
