LaVerne Haynes peacefully passed from this Earth on February 23, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. LaVerne was born in Sweetwater, Texas, to Rush and Aline Mosley. When she was very young the family moved to Fort Worth where she lived until moving to Dallas shortly before her ninetieth birthday.
She is survived by daughter Jenny and grandson Patrick Barker and his family: Kelly, Jenna and Will. Also, sister Lorena Skinner, nieces Norma Skinner and Carol King, and nephews Steve and Bobby Skinner and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years J. B. Haynes Jr., brother J. W. Mosley, her parents, and brother-in-law Bob Skinner.
She was an active member of Polytechnic Methodist Church in Fort Worth for decades, only transferring her membership to Christ United Methodist Church in Plano two years ago.
LaVerne had a long career in accounting and bookkeeping including employment at The Fair Department Store, Casa Manana, and Wm. A. Colley & Co.
The family would like to especially thank the staffs of Manchester House in Dallas and Hope HealthCare for their loving and comforting care.
