Services: Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 25th 6:00-8:00pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 28th at 2:00pm, also at Laurel Land Funeral Home. The Pallbearers will be Kristopher and Kendrick Nichols, Wade & Wayne Swift, Dan Danley and Jeff Ainsworth.
Fort Worth, Texas – Kyle Lee Nichols born in Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully May 20th, 2022 at Harris Hospital. Kyle went to school in Pilot Point, Texas and finished his first 2 years of High School there. He graduated high school in 1979 from Coronado High in El Paso, Texas. He attended college at University of Texas El Paso.
While attending UTEP, Kyle worked at his Dad’s heavy truck dealership until he moved with his family back to the Fort Worth area. Kyle worked many years in the family businesses of Nichols Ford and Lone Star Autoplex. His passion was the automotive industry, just like his Dad, and also like his Dad he was good at it. He was always a valued employee and hard worker.
A loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Kyle lived for reminiscing with family, sharing a meal with friends, and embarrassing his sons with awful jokes. Kyle never let life get in the way of helping a loved one in need. All of those in his life are forever grateful for his presence, and will continue to be guided by his wonderful spirit in all of the days ahead. Kyle was loved and cherished by many, and he will be profoundly missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother Rubena Mae (Nelson) Gillispie of Temple, OK and his grandparents Jewell Mabel (Cornelius) and Henry Leander Nichols of Randlett, Ok and Louda Bama (Cofield) and Reuben Columbus Nelson of Temple, OK.
