Judy was born on October 20, 1937, in Navarro County, Texas to Bob Burns and Jewell McCarley Burns. She lived in Fort Worth most of her life, and moved to Mansfield, TX in 2005 to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren.
Judy was married for almost 64 years to her high school sweetheart, the love of her life and best friend, William Van “Bill” Sullivan until his death in January 2018. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Judy was a member of the Fort Worth Women’s Club, Daughters of the Nile and First Methodist Mansfield. She has loved, worried and prayed over her family all our lives. She has given each of us her selfless love that will carry over thru many generations.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Bobbie Barham; brother in law, Joel Barham; brother, Charles T. Burns; niece, Charlisa Tippy Burns Story; as well as, one nephew, Nathaniel Ryan Bailey; and one daughter in law, Marie Sullivan.
Judy is survived by children, Guy William Sullivan Cedar Rapids IA, Vandee Sullivan DeLeon Granbury TX, Lori Sullivan Green (Danny) Mansfield, TX; beloved niece, Jodie Bailey (Bill) Frisco, TX; grandchildren, Megan Green Clay (Stephen), William Daniel Green (Brittany), Andrew Van DeLeon (Riley), Ashley DeLeon Bell (Wyley), William O. Sullivan; great grandchildren, Landyn Kate Bell, Danielle Lauren Clay, Harper Kathleen Clay, Greyson Andrew DeLeon, soon to be born Leighton Van Green; many friends, nieces, nephews; and the longtime Mansfield Bible Study ladies that have been together since 2006.
