She retired from Lockheed Martin after 22 years, working on the F111 and F16 aircraft projects. She served as a deacon, elder and fellowship chair for Hillside-Memorial Christian Church for over 40 years. She served the Lord with all her heart and she looked forward to the day that she could once again hold the hand of her husband “JP”. She was an avid sports fan of her favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Burt-Sheid of Fort Worth; her son, David Jay Miller of Fort Worth; her honorary son, Rudy Abila of Fort Worth; her sister, Patricia Gill of Celina, Texas; her brother, Winston Burkman of Fort Worth; her brother-in-law, Steve Long of Afton, Missouri; her grandson, Justin Ryan Burt of Fort Worth; and her many nieces and nephews that she loved so dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Perry “JP” Miller and by her two sisters, Bobby Long and Marzelle Wurtsmith and son-in-law Daniel Mark Burt.
