Born on April 25, 1988, in Fort Worth, Jonathan was a lifelong resident of Cowtown, as well as an active member of Stadium Drive Baptist Church. A 2010 graduate of North Crowley High School, he was a fan of the Crowley ISD sports teams. He was a sports fan who, like many fellow Texans, reveled in Friday night high school football games, often attending games with his dad. He was a huge fan of WWE Wrestling, collecting action figures and watching programs of his favorites, Kane and Undertaker. As a sports fan, he also rooted for many local teams, including the Baylor Bears and the Dallas Cowboys. He not only watched sports, but competed in the Texas Special Olympics, excelling in state competitions in bowling, basketball, and several track and field sports. Jon was born with Down syndrome and after high school he attended Green Oaks School until his death. His mental disability was overshadowed by his adventurous spirit and compassion for others. He was a Christian, a Boy Scout, and an immediate friend to anyone who crossed his path. He loved to joke around, make anyone laugh, and give the biggest hugs. He also loved his "puppy," Sidney, a 12-year-old black Labrador.
