Funeral services will be held at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel on Friday at 9am. Internment will follow at 11am at the Dallas National Cemetary. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6pm till 8pm at the funeral home.

His family came to Texas from Ohio in covered wagons and homesteaded outside Ft. Worth. He attended and graduated North Side High School where he was in ROTC and excelled in the rifle team. In both Jr. and High schools he was a decorated and award winning member of the 4H Club of America. His awards included county, district, state and national. It was on a winning national trip to Chicago where he met the love of his life and wife of 59 years, Jolene Campbell.
He attended Texas Tech University for about 1 1/2 yrs before being drafted. He volunteered stuffing envelopes at the drafting office and actually stuffed his own envelope drafting him into the Army. He chose to enroll in the Navy for his service duties and served in Korea and Vietnam on Navy repair ships. After serving in the Navy, Jack returned to finish his studies and graduated from Texas Tech.
His working career followed in his fathers footsteps at Swift & Co. meat packing in Ft Worth where he was a mechanical engineer. He later transferred to other plants in Des Moines, Iowa; Brownwood, Texas and finally retiring from the plant in San Antonio, Texas.
In retirement, Jack and Jolene enjoyed restoring antique cars, spending time with family and friends and traveling in their motor home around the country. Their travels eventually led them to beautiful Palm Springs, California where they have spent the last 8 wonderful years.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, John Arthur Moore, mother, Mildred Hunter Moore, daughter Carol Ann Moore, son, Nicholas Harlow.
Survivors: He leaves memories to cherish by his wife Jolene Campbell Moore, daugther Susan and husband Bob Hunt, son Steve Moore, daughter Sarah and husband Gary Gilmore; grandchildren Michael Hunt, Heather Powell, Monica McDaniel, Shelbee Gilmore and two great-grandchildren.
