He was a true gentleman and will be very missed

Papa was one of the men I take as one of the most profound influences I have had in my life. I have so many good memories and got to spend a lot of time with both him and granny.  As I have gotten older I have grown to respect and honor the man even more by understanding what a great man, husband, father, and grandfather he was.  Though I will miss talking to him and spending time with him  I know that he is both with god and his family that passed on before him now and look forward to the day that I too will get to see him again. Until that day comes I can only be thankful that I was blessed to have such a good person in my life, and hope to honor the example he set. 

Papa, you have filled me with precious memories. I am forever greatful for your precedent of loyalty, compassion, and kindness. From my earliest memories you spoke to me as if I were the most important person; even as a  small girl. I have had the pleasure of watching you affirm my three sons in the same way. To be loved so deeply is such a special thing. I believe that every success in my life can be attributed to the safety net of support and encouragement you and Granny have built around me. You were a good man and you will be deeply missed.

My Papa was one of the greatest men in my life. I wont ever forget all of the things he has taught and done for me.  For 18 years every weekend, I looked forward to spending time with him and just being there with him and my Granny. I love you dearly Papa, may you rest peacefully and eternally with the our Father.

I don't even have one solid big memory to share, just lots of little ones that were constant throughout my entire childhood. Papa sitting on the couch watching a Western. Papa asking if we wanted to go to Crowley McDonalds. Papa saying he was going for a walk, but he would be back for dinner. He always gave Granny a kiss before he left. Papa always being the one to say grace at dinner. Papa haggling with someone over how much SOMETHING costs. I definitely get my haggling skills from the Johnson side of the family, I learned from the best. He loved all of us, and the only times I ever remember him getting TRULY angry is if the family was fighting with each other. He loved all his babies and he didn't want anyone to say not one cross word about them, not even his other babies. 

I remember when I was getting ready to take all of my insurance license tests he assured me I could do it, even if I had to take multiple tries. He was SO proud of me when I passed, he was the first person I wanted to tell. 

He was always cheering me on whether it was for getting the right answer to a Jeopardy question, catching a fish, building a Domino house, or graduating from school. Papa was proud of you. We will greatly miss his constant support and love, there are now at least twelve people committed to following his example in life and loving on our Granny, Judy Johnson, as much as we possibly can. ♥️


I'm so blessed to had you for my uncle. What  great memories from fishing to dominoe playing. 

Jimmy was four years older than me.He was always nice to me made me feel welcome.A lot of guys older than you would pick on the younger ones. Jimmy never did that to anyone.All of  the Johnson boys treated everyone nice. I loved and miss them all. Really nice people. They are missed  RIP  Eddie Palmer Email  jepalmer44@gmail.com
