Jime Marie was born on October 15, 1927 near Gause, Texas to Jim Allen Mitchell and Emma Viola Newman. She met the love of her life, Calvin Varner, and they married in December 1946.
She was a homemaker who always put her family and church first. Once her children were grown, she and her husband loved to travel the United States visiting family and friends. She and her husband were a member of the Early Bird Class at Southcliff Baptist Church for many years.
Jime was preceded in death by her son, William “Bill” Varner and her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 74 years, Calvin “Dub” Varner of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, James Mitchell and wife Betty; daughter, Virginia Rutledge and husband Larry of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter, Amy Heutzenroeder and husband TJ of Arlington, Texas; grandson, Mitchell Rutledge and wife Ashley of Tyler, Texas; grandson, Christopher Varner of Fort Worth; grandson, William Varner of Eugene, Oregon; and four great-grandchildren Emily and Austin Rutledge and Brendan and Tyler Heutzenroeder. There is a host of extended friends and family that loved her as well.
