Mr Jesse L. Robinson was born December 2, 1947 in Edgecombe Virginia. He was welcomed with loving arms by the late Mr. Jesse Lee Robinson Sr. and the late Mrs Annie Robinson. Jesse is also preceeded in death by Ben Robinson Sr. (Brother), and Doris A. Brown (Sister).
Jesse, graduated from Huntington High School in 1966, and shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Army. After his military service obligation was complete, he chose employment with the United States Department of the Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing Police Force, and was later relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, to which he retired after dedicated service.
Jesse had several career accolades that included not only working at the Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing, appointed as the Alternative Dispute Resolution Specialist, Inventory Management Specialist, Federal Police Officer, and Supervisor at the Bureau, was an experienced negotiator and highly trained mediator, was elected as President of Local #29 American Federation of Government Employees Police Union, Shop Steward and Vice-President for the National Treasury Employees Union. Jesse was a volunteer mediator for Dispute Resolution Services, Inc. of Tarrant County. He also served as an Executive Member of the Joint Labor-Management Partnership Council for the Bureau.
Jesse was a proud member and Past Commander of American Legion Post 838, as well as a member of John F. Cook Lodge No. 10 of the most worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Washington DC., The Prince Hall Chapter No. 5, Holy Royal Arch Masons, Mt. Calvary Commandery No.4, Knights Templar, Washington DC., Mecca Temple No. 10 Washington, DC. He was a member of several elite social organizations, which contributed greatly to areas of need in and around the city.
Amongst all of his accomplishments, as a member, Jesse was most proud of the day he became a Deacon at the East St. Paul Baptist Church, until he could no longer participate due to his illness.
On Wednesday, the 26th of January 2022, God saw his struggle and decided to call him home. His life will forever be cherished by those who loved him: His loving wife, Mrs Toy Ann Robinson, His Sisters: Gloria Tyler (Linrod ) Yvonne Robinson, Hazel Eley (Jessie), Brenda Robinson and Brother Ray Charles Robinson (Edna), a very special cousin Bernard Barnes, Son: Darone Robinson (Yamala), Daughters: Tasha Robinson Portee, Chiquita Bank-Graham (Robert), Keke Gipson (Demontre’x), Cemonia Hall, Anjuanette Porter (David), Raeleshia Harris(Royal). Grandchildren: Aiden Robinson, Trinity Portee, Darien Robinson, Roderick Pye Jr., Crystal Banks-Ward, Devin Banks, JaRoderick Crowder, Jae’lah Dunbar, Aerious Mosley, Stephanie Hall, and JaMydrick Crowder. Great Grandchildren:
Aerionna Allen, Anya’h Banks, Kamaya Banks, Tania Ward, Kuame Banks, Kendrick Ward, Kaitlyn Banks, and Cash Ward, Special Daughter -Friend Kim Robinson.
