Jerry Theodore Johnson

Jerry was born October 8, 1936 in Truman, MN. After graduating from high school he joined the Air Force and served three years as a cryptographer.

He married Patsy Hestand September 12, 1959. Three years later he graduated from college with an education degree. While teaching for the next four years he earned his Master's Degree in elementary administration. He spent the next eleven years as the elementary principal in Plainview, MN. In 1977 Jerry and his family moved to Fort Worth. There he served as Headmaster at White Lake School. After his retirement from education he spent time volunteering at his grandchildren's elementary Schools. He later became a Master Composter volunteer, a Botanic Garden volunteer, a rain water harvester, and a Citizen Forester. Jerry and his wife enjoyed doing 10K walks in 38 of the 50 states. Jerry was baptized into Christ in 1974. He entered Christianity whole heartedly by teaching individuals as well as Bible classes, and doing whatever else he saw that needed to be done.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Patsy; daughter, Cynthia Weaver and husband, Tim of Plainview, MN; son, Randy Johnson, Irving; daughter, Nancy Scruggs, Rendon; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and three sisters.
