Janice Lane

Funeral 2pm Sunday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Janice Lane was born January 26th, 1924 in Lott, Texas to parents Claude and Abbie Jenkins. She graduated from Lott High School in 1941. She attended business school in Waco. Janice married Robert on May 21, 1944. After Robert completed his service in the Navy they moved to Fort Worth where they raised 4 children. She was a lifelong member of Ridglea West Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible classes, sang in the choir, and served in numerous capacities until she moved to Stonegate Nursing Center in 2013.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Robert and son Dean. She is survived by her son, Lionel and wife, Marylyn of Brock, TX. Daughters: Wanice Francis and husband Mike of Fort Worth; Lisa Martin and husband Jimmy of Whitehouse, TX. Grandchildren: Cynthia and husband Joe Moberley of Weatherford; Cody and wife Ranae Lane of Brock; Jason and wife Joie Bryant of Burleson; Lane and wife Kaley Martin of Flower Mound; Jonathan and wife April Bryant of Jacksonville, NC; Chad Newman of Dallas; Kyle and wife Melissa Newman of Fort Worth; and Trey Freeze of Fort Worth. Eleven great grandchildren; Brother, Marshall Jenkins of Lott, Tx and Sister, Betty Jo Nix of Temple, TX, and numerous family members and friends.
