Janet Gail Parsons-Templin passed away at the age of 77, September 18, 2022 at 1:55pm in Arlington, TX. Surrounded by her loving family, she passed away peacefully after suffering the past year with metastatic liver cancer.
Janet was born October 6, 1944 in Buffalo, NY to James and Constance Parsons. At the age of seven, her family moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Janet attended Eastern Hills High School where she was an active member of the National Honors Society, the Highlandettes and played saxophone in the Highlanders Band. She graduated with honors in 1962. Soon after graduation, she was married and gave birth to her first two children.
As a young Navy wife and mother, she moved to Bath, Maine where they were stationed in the Navy for 6 years, then returned home to Fort Worth, TX. Janet became a very active member of the PTA and enjoyed sewing, painting and playing board games as her favorite hobbies. Janet married a second time to the love of her life, David Templin in 1977. She became a mother to his young daughter, and together had another daughter the following year.
They shared 42 years of love, laughter and devotion until his passing in 2019. In 1983, Janet dedicated her life to Jehovah God in baptism and served 39 years in the Meadowbrook Congregation as a deeply devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She was so very loved and cherished by everyone who knew her. Her smile brightened every room she entered, and will be so deeply missed.
Janet is survived by her sister Carol Parsons-McKenzie and husband Marshall, her children: Glenn Hilliard, Lauri Hilliard (deceased), Staci Hill and Jaime Templin; seven grandchildren: Connor Warren, Claire Warren (deceased), Sarah Robinson (and husband Dakota), Chelsea Hilliard, Brianna Loar, Bradley Loar, Hayden Hill and Hensley Hill; and two great-grandchildren: Rylan and Tucker Robinson.
