Jane Anne was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 24, 1930, to William C. Palmer, Jr., and Kate St. Clair Palmer. She attended Arlington Heights High School where she played the drums and accordion, before beginning her studies at Texas Christian University. She married Roland Brucks in 1947 and together they had 6 children.
Jane worked at TexStar Plastics as a production worker. She worked hard to provide for herself and her children, becoming a Production Planner and then a Purchasing Agent before retiring after 25 years of service. Upon retirement, she spent as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also cared for her father and stepmother during their later years.
Her past-times included being a part of a CB radio club, using the “handle” Coffee Cup Lady and participating in “fox hunts.” She loved telling and listening to jokes and possessed an amazing sense of humor. She was a proud member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed traveling with friends and visiting Germany and France and many states within the U.S. If you spent any time with Jane, you know she loved Jesus. She spent many hours studying the bible, praying for others, and building relationships with people. She even served as the Minister of Music for a local Baptist church during the mid-1970’s. Jane loved to tell people she already lived in Paradise, long before that became her permanent residence.
Jane was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She loved her Lord, her family, her church, and her friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Kate & William C. Palmer, Jr., her first-born son – Douglas Allen Brucks, the father of her children – Roland Brucks, and step-mother Pearl Palmer.
She is survived by her children Bill Brucks and wife Sharon, Art Brucks and wife Mary Scott, Theresa Taylor and husband Mike, Gordon Brucks and wife Ruth, Janet Barnes and husband Ron, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and her stepsister Georgia Shannon and husband Billy Ray.
Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers: Jason Brucks, Jonathan Brucks, Craig Brucks, Michael Taylor, Geoffrey Taylor, Ronnie Barnes, Joshua Barnes.
