James Alan Lewis was 65 years old at the time of his death December 16, 2021. He was the son of Autis and Margie Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Susan Lewis and Marsha Mitchell, first wife Melissa Lewis, and one brother Harold Lewis.
He is survived by his wife Candice Lewis, sons Benjamin, wife Chelsea and Jacob Lewis, wife Haley, step daughter-in-laws Lori Ford and Tracy Willows, and step son-in-law Kevin Ertle. He has 19 grandchildren.
He was born in Baytown, Texas. He graduated from Boles Home High School in 1974 and attended Abilene Christian College for two years. He worked at various jobs until he was hired at Weatherford Aerospace from which he retired in 2016.
James was passionate about his church, family and advocating for children's homes. Many hours of wood working Christmas ornaments with each child's name inscribed was given to make that child feel special.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. James Alan Lewis will be missed in this world.
Serving as pallbearers are Paul Hodnett, Alan Sunderland, Frank Thompson, Greg Hodge, David Carruth and Brian Phillips.
