James G. "Jim" Goodwin Jr. passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in Irving. Service: 10 a.m. Friday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Jim was born Aug. 9, 1935, to James and Kathryn Goodwin in Dallas. Jim was raised in Fort Worth, graduating from Paschal High School in 1953. He then graduated in 1959 from TCU, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. Jim was a creative, intelligent man with an infectious sense of humor and a love for travel. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Walt; and daughter, Donna. Survivors: Wife, Eleanor; son, Jim and wife, Karen; daughter, Deborah and husband, Paul; grandsons, Gordon, James and Marion and great-grandsons, Peter and Thomas, who will miss their "Grandma Daddy." Jim is also survived by his brother, Kenneth; niece, Megan; and nephew, Keg.
