

Hassie attended school in Lone Oak and graduated with the class of 1942. She moved to Dallas in August 1943, where she worked at North American Aviation during the war effort. On February 17, 1944, she married Walter Lloyd Horn in Madill, OK. She moved to Denison, TX, for her husband's career working with the Army Corp of Engineers, and lived there from 1944 to 1949 before transferring to Dallas and later Galveston, and returning to Dallas before settling home in Fort Worth in 1959.
She worked at Southland Life Insurance company from 1949-1958.
They loved to travel, planning extensive trips with their son, Bruce while he was in school. They returned to Alaska following the 1963 earthquake.
Both Mr. & Mrs. Horn were members of Handley Baptist Church for over 50 years until it was dissolved in 2016. Later, she attended and joined Sagamore Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Horn; parents, Haskel and Esther Willis; and granddaughter, Katie Horn. She is survived by her son, Bruce Horn and his wife Sue; grandsons, Lonny Brook and Brian Brooks and his wife Leanne; great-grandchildren Chase Brooks, Allison Williams and her husband Josh, and Layne Brooks; great-great-grandchildren Jackson Williams and Luke Williams; and sister-in-law Wanda Clark and her husband Earl; as well as many other loving family members and friends
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 5, from noon – 1:00, with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00, both at Sagamore Baptist Church, 2301 Dottie Lynn Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76120. Burial will follow at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
