A visitation for Grace will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 19, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A committal service will occur Friday, May 19, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park - FW, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
Grace Marie Jamison, 93 of Fort Worth, Texas passed away peacefully Thursday, May 11, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Grace was born December 13, 1929, in Fort Worth in her grandmother’s home as her mother was living there at the time while her father served in the army.
She loved to sing and made an album at the age of 13. She had a beautiful voice and sang at many weddings and funerals.
She met the love of her life, Jett F. Jamison, and married May 13, 1950. They had 3 children: Candace, Jett C., and Lois.
Grace was very active in the United Methodist Church. She sang in the choir and filled in as director on occasion. She worked in the children’s Sunday school, served as church secretary on Sunday’s, served on various committees, and was a member of The United Methodist Women.
She was also a member of The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star.
Grace loved cooking for her family and family get togethers. She loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren so very much and they loved her right back. She will be dearly missed.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jett, and her daughter Candace.
She is survived by her son Jett C. Jamison and his wife, Theresa, daughter Lois Peterson and her husband Chuck, Grandchildren: Justin Lewis and his wife Susana, Candace Ventura and her husband Meny, Thomas Jamison and his wife Meghan, Amanda Jamison, Amanda Davis and her husband Jeremiah, and Ashley Peterson.
Her great-grandchildren Ellie Jamison (12), Madison Ventura (23), Myles Ventura (20), Callen Ventura (4), Everleigh Davis (4), and Emry Davis (2).
