Evangelist Gloria Dean Lockett
Gloria Dean Lockett was born May 5, 1940
To the union of the late Maurice Willis and Lavawyer Frank Willis in the small town of Munday, Texas. Along with her 4 siblings; Joyce Willis, Lavawyer Willis Jr, Albert Willis who preceded her in death and Marva Willis. She attended the local schools, church, and professed Christ as her personal savior at a young age. She later moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she raised her three children, Charles Vincent Howard, Robert Patrick Philon, and Sandra Dean Washington.
Born with a veil, Evangelist Gloria had been anointed and appointed by God. Her late Aunt Lillie was a great spiritual prayer warrior and would help her niece understand her calling. Evangelist Lockett lived her life following Christ, spreading the gospel, and believing in the true and living God. You could find her at the local grocery stores, or many other places asking people, "Do you need me to pray for you"? She had the ability to engage people, provide humor all while introducing them to Jesus Christ.
Gloria was a woman with a wide variety of skills and talents. She worked many jobs: retired from American Airlines, but found her passion in cosmetology, where she worked at numerous hair salons. She was a gifted soloist, songwriter, as she recorded beautiful songs of gospels such as, "I Need a Breakthrough" and "I just can't wait". She had a passion for art as she painted and created a wide variety of paintings. She aspired to become an art instructor as she attended Tarrant County Community College at the age of 75.
Gloria was a member of The Chosen Vessel Cathedral where she sung in the church choir. She touched the heart and souls of people with prayer as she served Christ as a prayer warrior and a healing evangelist. She traveled with the Lay Witnesses for Christ International where she visited London, England. As the lord the led her in the Bridging the Gap 2012 UK outreach - London during the XXX Olympics.
Gloria was a member of a national prayer ministry for many years, The Church in the Air, where spiritual leaders (Apostles, Bishops, Evangelist, Pastors, Ministers, Missionaries, Deacons, etc.) in states throughout the country and some in international regions. Evangelist Lockett hosted a breakthrough conference one year in Fort Worth Texas where leaders from all over the country came to glorify God and receive spiritual renewal and a breakthrough".
Gloria Dean Lockett leaves to carry on her legacy; sister, Marva Willis, her children, Charles V. Howard, Robert P. Philon, Sandra D. Washington; grandchildren, N akeya Edward, Rudy Philon, Casandra Edwards, Sydnyy Visor, Mia Washington, Mya Washington, Ally Whitney; eight great grandson and four great granddaughters, one great-great granddaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, family, friends and spiritual leaders and laborers in Christ.
