George J Gordon III

George was born January 27, 1994 in Fort Worth, Texas where he enjoyed going to the zoo and riding his jeep in the park and at Granny Janny’s house. As a toddler he moved to Basking Ridge, NJ.

In Basking Ridge, he attended Liberty Corner Elementary, William Annin Middle and Ridge High Schools, class of 2012. Outside of school, as a young boy, Trey enjoyed hikes at the local Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary, swimming at the town pool and train trips into New York City for a day of sightseeing. He spent many summer days down the Jersey Shore in Ocean City where he would spend hours on the beach riding his skimboard on the water’s edge followed by evenings on the boardwalk playing games, enjoying the rides, and shopping at the Surf Mall. In the winter, Trey enjoyed ski weekends in Vermont, day trips to the Poconos or simply making snow forts with friends in the backyard. He would often return to Texas for various holidays and summer vacations where he enjoyed family reunions, trips to Schlitterbahn’s Waterpark and just chilling.

In his early 20’s George moved to Texas and went to work in construction and oil field services. George enjoyed working with family and friends, but enjoyed the breaks most of all. He liked to sit around smoking his cigars and reminisce about funny pranks and the good times. George was very loyal to the people he cared about and stood up for those less fortunate. He was a beacon for anyone in need and helped them in any way he could. He was an animal lover and treated his cat named “Cat” like a family member.

Trey was the oldest of 3 siblings whom he loved, cared for and protected. His contagious smile, enthusiasm and strong beliefs will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by maternal Grandmother, Rosa D. Urista and paternal Grandfather, George J. Gordon Sr.

He is survived by his Mother, Corie Yeager; Step Father, Michael Yeager; Brother, Cameron Yeager; Sister, Lauren Yeager; Aunt, Sandra Szymanski; Uncle, Tom Szymanski; Cousins, Matthew & Jacob Szymanski; Grandmother, Kathy Yeager; Uncle, Gary Yeager; Aunt, Bonnie Yeager Mingin; Great Aunts, Maria Aguilar, Marta Bailey, Emma Hernandez and Caryl Yeager; and many extended family in NJ and TX.
