July 25th 1975 – October 30th 2021. Age 46.
Gabriel passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at his home.
He was born July 25th 1975 in Fort Worth, TX to George Hernandez Jr. and Mary F. Amaya (+). He graduated from Everman High School, Class of 1994.
Gabriel married the love of his life, Susan Hernandez on August 01, 1998 in Fort Worth, TX. He was a devoted father to their one and only son, Ryan Gabriel Hernandez. He spent 26 years working for The Dannon Company as a Processing Maintenance Operator.
Gabriel was a devoted father and loving husband. He was a blessing beyond measure to everyone outside of his immediate family as well. He was the ear you could count on that would listen, the shoulder you could cry on, the one who advised you on what you needed to hear as opposed to what you wanted to hear. A rock that you knew you could count on no matter what and no matter who you were. Beyond that, he was truly the life of the party, master of the grill, jokester in the family, and just overall everything you would want in someone. The best part is, he did all of this with no expectation of anything in return. Just a pure soul, one that will never be replaced, but also one that will never be forgotten.
Gabriel truly lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of life such as chatting and joking around with friends and family. He loved his Dallas Cowboys. On his free time, he loved spending it with his wife and son, and showing Ryan the fun things in life. If you know Ryan, you can tell he was raised to have a pure and good head on his shoulders. Gabriel had an uncanny ability to connect to people no matter who they were; he just had a way of bringing the life out of people and affecting them in a positive way. He loved family and his love was unconditional.
He is survived by his wife Susan Hernandez, his son Ryan Gabriel Hernandez, his father George Hernandez Jr and Mother Danielle, Stepfather Manuel Amaya, his Godparents Pete and Janie Garcia, his brothers George Hernandez III, his brother Gregory P. Hernandez and wife Michelle Hernandez, his sister Dawn Ball, and his sister and brother-in-law Jamie and Robby Banksten. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Mary F. Amaya, his sister, Denise Reyes, and nephew Nickolas Reyes.
He also is survived by his in-laws Dario and Consuelo Villarreal, and sister in-laws Maria, Maribel, Adriana, Marcela, and brother in-laws Ruben, Ernest and James, his 11 nieces and 9 nephews to whom he was like a father figure and loved dearly.
He also leaves behind his many coworkers and dear friends that were like family to him.
We believe Gabriel’s legacy was, “The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others live on forever.” He will be greatly missed.
