Ethel Mae Jinks Hawkins Born September 12, 1935, to Elmo and Johnnie Mae Jinks in McClendon County, Texas. She attended Fort Worth Public School. She worked as a homemaker, always taking care of her love ones. She loved being with her family. She enjoyed cooking and making hors d'oeuvres for parties and made the best potato salad. Ethel was a former member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church where she was Woman of the Year under the Leadership of Reverend R. H. Hallum, and later joined Richmond Avenue Church Of Christ under the Leadership of Brother Victor Norris. She was not going to let anything stop her from serving God. Ethel went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. She is now reunited with her parents, Elmo and Johnnie Mae Jinks; brother, Roy Jinks; granddaughter, Kasie Hawkins Owens.
She shall forever be remembered in the hearts of her daughters, Kimberley Hawkins, Courtney Boone (Patrick); and her son, Tony R. Hawkins, Sr. (Jacqueline); her brother, Troy Jinks of San Antonio; her sster, Jessie Ann Anderson; grandchildren, Yolanda Hawkins, Samuel Hawkins, Brandy Hall Hobson (Tremaine) and Tony Hawkins, Jr; two nephews, Michael Jinks (Meredith) and Felix Ramirez (Chaunte); one niece, Angela Butler; eight great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
