Elsie Marie Pekar Anders, 85, passed Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at a local hospital.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 100 S.W. Alsbury Blvd., Burleson. Rosary: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Elsie was born Sept. 9, 1930, in Ennis. She married George A. Anders and moved to Fort Worth. She had lived in Crowley since 1969.
Elsie was a member of the KJZT and Women's Friendship Club and was a longtime parishioner of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Burleson. She loved Czech dances and singing in the Czech choirs.
She is now reunited with her husband in heaven.
Survivors: Her children, Katherine Elaine Anders and George A. Anders Jr.; daughter-in-law, Malinda Anders; sister, Annie Mach; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
