Eileen Woods Miller

Eileen Woods Miller, age 72, born December 26, 1946 in Los Angeles, California and passed away August 4, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. Eileen spent her early years in Los Angeles California. She and her family moved to Lubbock Texas where she attended school. She became a faithful member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. She was a proud panther majorette and attended Dunbar High School. She attended Texas Tech University. She then moved to Detroit and worked for Chrysler/GM. She later moved to Los Angeles before returning back to Lubbock. In the late 90’s she moved her family to the Fort Worth area. She then began a career with Air Tran and was a faithful employee of Southwest Airlines for over 30 years. Eileen was a long time and faithful member of Samara Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sisters, Vernona Gardner and Naomi Terry; children, Randolph Franklin (Marilyn Nelson), daughters, Dylena Miller and Muffin Miller; grandchildren, Andrew, AaGecria, TaRaine, Ranni, Raven, Willie III, Mekehya and her special grandson, Randolph. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, Chartress (Calvin) and Adriane, nephews, aunt, Catherine Porter and cousin, Vernita Holmes and her children Duke and Marcia and beloved friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Permilla Woods and brother-in-law, Johnny Gardner.
