A Visitation for Doris will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112 with a Funeral Service on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Rehoboth Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
Doris was born in Abilene, Texas. She went to school in Fort Worth. Doris married Perry Tatum on March 20, 1953 in Fort Worth. She graduated from Trimble Tech and worked as a Mimi for over 100 small children for over 20 years. Doris was an active member of the Handley Senior Citizens Center.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband Perry Tatum, her parents, one brother, Houston and eldest son, Jerry Wayne.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Alyce Prince of Magnolia, TX; son Paul Tatum of Palacios, TX; brothers, Richard Britt of Azle, TX and Joe Britt of Emory, TX; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 9 great, great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
