Don Hershel Bell passed away peacefully on December 22, 2020 at the age of 84, from a long illness, after a fruitful life. Don was born in San Angelo, Texas on July 31, 1936 to Hershel and Jane Shepard Bell. He grew up in Fort Worth, Dublin, and Haltom City and he graduated from Texas Tech University. During his adult life, he resided in Texas, New Jersey, and California. After a long career in tax accounting in New York City, New York and Los Angeles, California, Don retired in 2002 and relocated to Arlington, TX. Don’s passion for trains, travel, and playing and listening to music gave him years of enjoyment and experiences he was always ready to share with others. He developed many model train layouts, played the steel guitar and other instruments, and he loved to explore cities.
Don is survived by his wife Teresa Bell; two children, Susan and husband Patrick Dowling of Danville, CA and Steven and wife Melinda of Rockwall, TX; four granddaughters, Lauren, Morgan, Jennifer, and Leah.
