Connie, was an exceptional wife, mother, and friend. She was the epitome of motherhood and her love will be felt by anyone who knew her. Connie was magical. She could always find the good in any situation and had such a joy for life.
Connie loved to travel, shop, and enjoyed good food. Spending time and partying with her loved ones was her favorite pastime. Through her actions and service to others, Connie taught the importance of self care and self love.
Connie was born March 7, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to Donald and Bess Hobbs. She attended high school in South Dakota and went to Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Connie worked as a medical technologist for 40 years before she retired as the Lab Manager of All Saints Baylor Scott and White. She loved her job and her coworkers deeply.
Connie married Rashad Alston on July 16, 2002. In Rashad she found a life partner with whom she could experience the wonders of this world with, both at home and abroad. They had many great adventures together.
The love and friendship that she shared with her daughter, Ebonee, is magical and shows what it means to care for people you love unconditionally and who love you.
Connie is survived by her husband, Rashad Alston; daughter, Ebonee Lee (Rodney); son Robert Alston; mother, Bess Hobbs; sister, Dianne Hobbs (Par); brothers, Donald Hobbs (Janey), and Michael Hobbs (Laura); grandchildren, Autumn Alston, Rodney Jacob Lee, Penelope Lee, Roman Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Donald Hobbs; and grandparents, Joseph and Sallie Kellogg, and Earl and Ruth Hobbs.
