November 22, 1949 - June 10,2024
Our beloved Heavenly Father called our Fellow Soldier, our Brother in Arms and Patriot home on June 10, 2024. Born in Corpus Christi, Charles, “Chuck”, is preceded by his parents, Charles Anderson Williams and Ima Porter Williams.
He attended Richard King High School, however, his calling into the United States Army started Chuck’s adult life before he graduated, he did however return to obtain his diploma prior to starting his career after the military. Chuck entered the Army on May 31, 1967, as a young Army Artillery Mechanic (91P) who was responsible for supervising and performing maintenance and recovery operations of all self-propelled field artillery cannon weapon systems—including automotive, turret, fire control and chemical protection subsystems. It was here that his passion for anything mechanical grew and expanded on his love for automotive mechanics and wood working. His duty took him to Germany and then a stint in Vietnam, before being discharged on May 22, 1970, as an E-5, Sergeant in only a short three-year enlistment.
Chuck met Paula in 1993, while working together at Drug Emporium. This was the beginning of their 29-year adventure together.
Chuck is known for his love in automotive mechanics, as well as carpentry. However, Chuck’s greatest joy has always been fishing and telling the tall tales of the one that got away. His MOS as an Artillery Mechanic was also evident in his passion for the 2nd Amendment and gun ownership.
Chuck is survived by his siblings; Sherry Anita Duncan (Corpus Christi), and Joyce Nita Skrobarczyk (husband Jerome, Corpus Christi). He is also survived by his children Michael Williams (Ft.Worth), Charles Robert Williams Jr. (Ft. Worth), and Charlene Williams Starr (Ft.Worth). Most of all, Chuck is survived by his loving and caring wife of 29 years Paula P. Williams (White Settlement) and her children Barry Craig Proctor “Zeke” (Brock), and Anna P. Anaya (White Settlement). His memory will grow on also in all of his 12 grandchildren. Chuck joins his siblings Theresa Gail Guerro and Steven Duanne Williams, in Heaven, with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
(Numbers 6:24-26, ESV)
