Chad Anthony Manweiler was born March 7,1979 in Whitefish, Montana to Eddy and Neva Manweiler. He helped his parents welcome a baby brother, Nathan, on May 28, 1981. From his earliest days, he was a gentle, kind boy. He loved all animals and all babies. They loved him too.
His family moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1992 to attend Sunset School of Preaching. It was here in Lubbock, that Chad lost his father after a lengthy illness. Chad missed his father desperately. He attended Sunset Church of Christ and was surrounded by godly men. Chad was an active member of the church youth group. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1997. In 1999 Ned Cooper joined his life as a stepfather. Throughout the years, their relationship continued to grow.
After graduation, he moved to Redmond, Oregon where he stayed with his grandmother. It was there, he began a lifelong career in the RV industry. He moved to Florida in the early 2000s and worked hard to learn everything he could about RVs.
He is the dad to three sons, Morgan Riley, Matthew Garrett and Austin Cooper Manweiler. They were the light of his life and he loved them dearly. He couldn’t speak about them or to them without smiling.
In 2013, he asked his soul mate Lindsey Nicole Davis to become his bride and share his life. They were married in Florida on February 17, 2017. They vowed to share life’s journey through hills and valleys, through sunshine and storm, knowing they were better together. They decided the journey would be more fun if they had a dog. So Bindi came to live with them. She was just a couple months old and had been abused and they were told she didn’t like men. It was not long before she became “Chad’s baby” and he became her “human”. If Chad was sitting, Bindi was sitting on him.
This life, this family brought Chad so much joy. Chad and Lindsey adored each other and embarked on an all too short romance. They shared not just life, but a life full of adventure, laughter and fun. They were “meant” to be together and spent every moment possible with each other.
Chad loved living in Texas and always considered it his home. He was a die-hard Longhorns fan and taught his boys to say “Hook’em Horns” almost from the time they could talk. So when his career led them to Ft. Worth, Texas in October 2019 they were excited to begin yet another adventure together. Along with Bindi, they trekked to Texas and prepared to spend the rest of their lives as Texans. Chad continued to move up in his company and was very proud to be promoted to Regional Service Manager for Thor Motorcoach
Unfortunately, in December of 2019, Chad received the diagnosis of Colon cancer. After the initial shock, he was doggedly determined to beat this horrible disease. With Lindsey by his side, he just knew he would be victorious. This adventure was not a pleasant one at all. The next 2 ½ years would be marked with dr. visits, surgeries and chemo, along with its after-effects. Chad and Lindsey faced this with the same joy and hope they faced every other hurdle. Amazingly, Chad continued to work, whether at home or travelling on “off-chemo” weeks. Much to everyone’s surprise, he kept a positive attitude and phone calls and visits were cheerful. He continued to be hopeful he would win against the “Big C”.
On January 12, the disease began to get the upper hand. Chad needed to be brought home from a work trip. Upon landing in Texas, he was immediately admitted to the hospital, where the news was not good. Chad was told that the cancer had spread and there was nothing they could do. Hospice was called. He opted to stay home with his bride, who became his nurse and his comforter. On January 27th, Chad left this earth, leaving behind Lindsey and Bindi, his sons Morgan, Matthew and Austin of Dawsonville, Georgia, his parents Ned and Neva Cooper and his brother Nathan Manweiler, all of North Platte, Nebraska, his grand parents, Bob and Charlene Manweiler of Pueblo, Colorado, his in-laws, Walt and Shawn Davis of Dover, Florida, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins along with a multitude of friends who he made along the way. From his childhood until his death, he made an impact on every single person he met and none of us will ever be the same.
Chad was preceded in death by: His dad, Eddy Manweiler, Grandparents, Richard Thomas and Nancy Thomas, his Aunt Edy Thomas and Uncle Jerry Moxley and great grandparents.
