I have so many memories of Mr. & Mrs. Kaska, I remember when Mrs Kaska would bang the trash cans  at night when she took out the trash on the side between our houses so we wouldn’t think there was a stranger in between the homes. And her letting me lick the red cake pan when she made the cake.  She was the best cook just like my mother. I didn’t get that trait. Mr Kaska made the best pickles. And they were wonderful with their children, the love of them all and the great care of their son Lewis Jr. They were my second family and will be missed greatly. 

The Kaska family was a constant in the Whitfill house, my mom and Betty could talk for hours! It was always wonderful to see the Kaska's, especially Betty at Mass and various St Rita's events. Truly a wonderful lady! Godspeed to heaven, Betty - peace, comfort and strength to your family and friends where your memory will ive on.



Aunt Betty was always a relevant and vital person--especially  in her golden years!  Her insight and wisdom, along with her radiant smile offered hope and light to many. She will be missed.

I know you girls will miss your mom. Prayers for you and your families.

Mrs. Kaska was so sweet to allow me to be a part of her Girl Scout troop, even though I was at least a year older than everyone else. My troop had disbanded, and she let me join. I will ALWAYS remember the red velvet cake she baked for my birthday. It was the most delicious thing I'd ever had, and it was years before red velvet became popular. Still have not tasted anything quite that delicious!  

St. Rita was so long ago for me, but so many great memories. I miss that tight-knit community at times. 

Many memories…this picture is when Charles and I visited her at Waterford to bring her Communion. We loved visiting her and laughing with her. I especially enjoyed sharing our Czech heritage. 

I have too many memories of Betty to count. She was always so sweet and caring. I know my parents loved she and Louis very much. I'll always remember her bright smile and her laughter. God bless her as she takes her place next to her husband and son. Peace and consolation to her entire family.
