William Paul Spurr

William Paul Spurr, age 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Heritage Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 30, 1940 in Laurium, Michigan to the late Ilona Esther (nee. Niemi) and William Russell Spurr.

He was the former owner of the Standard Transportation and PM Freight Brokers, Inc. William loved the outdoors, camping, and gardening. He was an avid birdwatcher, and was a great provider for his family. William loved the Lord and was a member of Grace Brethren Church where he had served in many capacities of the church before his health began to fail him.

William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leann M. Spurr, in 2016.

Leaving to cherish many fond memories and to continue his legacy are his daughters, Anne Linnemeier, Dawn M. Spurr, and Deborah J. (Keith) Kohaut; son, Justin M. Spurr; brothers, Keith A. Spurr, Roger B. (Katrinia) Spurr, and Mark R. (Sally) Spurr; and three grandchildren, Jeffrey Linnemeier, Jerod and Angelena Kohaut; as well as other relatives and friends.

A visitation to honor William's life will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, immediately followed by a memorial service at 5:00 pm.
