Wayne J. Teuscher, 82, has celebrated his home-going to Heaven with the Lord Jesus, his Savior on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Born on December 11, 1939 in Pigeon, Michigan, he was the son of late Harry and Lydia Teuscher.
Wayne moved to Fort Wayne in 1960, and graduated from the Fort Wayne Police Academy in 1969. He served on the police department for 28 years, was an active member of the FOP, and retired as Sergeant in 1998. Friends and family will remember Wayne for his love for Christ.
He is survived by his daughters, Tonya (Gordon) Leichty, Cindy (Vincent) Vanderlaan; sisters, Ruth (Robert) Rice and Patty (Wayne) Gascho; grandchildren, Phillip Krinn, Kathryn (Daniel) Shaw, Timothy Topp-Krinn; and numerous other treasured friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith; and sisters, Carol, Wilma, and Marjorie. He will be missed by those who love him, but they know they will join him again in heaven for all eternity.
A Memorial and Celebration Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 11:00am, until time of service. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
