Wayne Rowe, 81, of Daindridge, Tennessee, and a former resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on June 10, 2021 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born November 19, 1939 in Tip Top, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Jesse Rowe and Ranie Jackson Rowe. He served our country as a sailor in the U.S. Navy, as a welder on board the Submarine Tender USS Bushnell, AS-15, home ported out of Key West, Florida. He was a retired truck driver for the Teamsters Union #414 at Kenosha Trucking in Springfield, Ohio. In his spare time he was an avid mechanic and loved to work on cars, motorcycles, and trucks. He loved to laugh, dance, travel, ride motorcycles, and auto races. Survived by his sister, Barbra (Rowe) Sain; brothers, Pawnee (Glenda) Rowe, Carson Rowe, and Harless Rowe of Fort Wayne; son, Leslie (Julie) Rowe of Pampano Beach, Florida; daughter, Carolyn (Rowe) Williams of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Leslie Rowe Jr, Teresa Rowe, Anna Rowe, David Owens, Mattie Williams; great grandchildren, Reid Poulin, Damion Owens, Aria Owens, De'Miya Squires, Mariya Squires, Aliyah Asher; step children, Herman Zoltan Herman Jr, Judy (David) Rettig, and Kathy (Ronnie) Herman Begley, and step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Herman Rowe; sister, Tearzlee Rowe; great grandson, Aaren Owens; and step son, Karcsi Herman. Viewing will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home,1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808. Burial following at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the family, c/o Leslie Rowe.
