Virginia L. Crick,100, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on August 11, 1924, a daughter of the late Hugh and Edith (Krewson) Jackson. She was one of ten children. Virginia dedicated 26 years to Lincoln Life Insurance, retiring in 1983. She enjoyed her many travels, playing cards and cooking for her family. Virginia is survived by her son, Steven (Martha) Brown; daughter, Karen Smith; stepsons, Jim (Kathy) and John (Pam) Crick; stepdaughter, Janet Auer; twenty grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Ellsworth Crick; previous husband, Charles Brown; son, Bruce Brown; stepdaughters, Phyllis Imbody and Martha Crick; and son-in-laws, Jim Smith and Myron Auer. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral home 6424 Winchester Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Burial to take place at Riverview Cemetery in Churubusco, Indiana at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to heart-to-heart hospice.
