Tracy Vorndran Speer, 56, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed into eternal life on September 13, 2024, following her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN in 1968 to Paul and Shirley Vorndran.
Tracy was a kind and gentle soul who dearly loved her family and friends. She graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School (’86) and went on to attend Purdue University where she graduated with her Doctorate of Pharmacy (’92). Tracy was a dedicated pharmacist at Walgreens for over 30 years. In 1994 she married the love of her life, David Speer, with whom she had three children. She loved to attend her children’s sporting events and adored her golden retrievers. In her free time you would find Tracy tending to her flowers, playing card games with her family, and watching her son at his rodeos. Tracy was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke, IN. She was a volunteer at Matthew 25, a member of The Christ Child Society, a volunteer for Bishop Dwenger Saints Alive and was involved in her children’s school for many years.
Tracy is survived by her husband David Speer; children Alicia (CJ) Booth, Gina Speer and John Speer; parents, Paul and Shirley Vorndran; sisters, Becky (Neal) Hazen, Cindy Wagner, and Amy (Michael) Parrent; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Memorial contributions may be directed to The Christ Child Society of Fort Wayne or St. Joseph Roanoke Catholic Church.
Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024, Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 641 N Main St, Roanoke, IN 46783 with calling one hour prior. The family will also receive friends and family from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes – Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne IN 46804.
