Susan Kay Koons

Susan Kay Koons was 69 years of age when she passed away from this life on Saturday, November 6, 2021 while at home with family at her side. She was a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana born September 9, 1952.
For many years, she worked as a caretaker. Susie will always be remembered for her way of putting others before herself, her radiant smile, her contagious laugh and great love for family and friends. The love and support she had for her granddaughter Amara was beautiful. Susie enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren. Susie was devoted to the Catholic Faith; her faith in God was contagious. The love between her and Greg was very special.
To cherish many memories are her husband, Greg Koons; stepsons, Nick (Jenna) Koons, Joel (Jenna) Koons and Jeff (Leigh) Weisenauer; stepdaughter, Jenna (Bub) Harner; a granddaughter, Amara Senters; brothers, Steve (Nancy) Henry and Robert (Paula) Henry; sisters, Kathy (Dan) Carteaux and Nancy (Tim) Fletcher; 8 step-grandchildren, Madison Koons, Allison Koons, Kolt Harner, Ellie Harner, Finnley Koons, Kash Koons, Jordan Weisenauer and Tyler Weisenauer; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Mary Ellen Henry; and daughter, Ashley Senters.
Funeral Mass is 12:00 PM Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church 7215 St. Joe Rd (46835) with visitation 2 hours prior to service. Preferred memorials to Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church or to Parkview Foundation
