Robert James Meikle

R. James Meikle, 81, of Fort Wayne, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital. Born May 2, 1930, he retired in 1989 after 31 years with International Harvester/Navistar. He was a faithful member of First Missionary Church and U.A.W. Retirees Local Chapter 57. Surviving are his daughters, Cindy Lorek, of Snellville, GA and Susie Bullard, of Tipp City, OH; son, Ron Meikle, of Leo; grandchildren, Adrienne, Tim & Alyssa Lorek, Rachel Lubahn, Rob Meikle, Abby and Phillip Bullard; great granddaughter, Ella Jayne Lubahn; brother, David Meikle, of Zephyrhills, FL; sister, Nancy Branch, of Rochester Hills, MI and brother-in-law, Tom Fruechtenicht. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Carole S. Meikle, in 2008. Funeral Service is 10:00 am Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at First Missionary Church, 701 W. Rudisill Blvd. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 4-8 pm Friday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
