Robert Kirby Alexander

Robert Kirby Alexander, 92, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born February 15, 1931, in Columbus, OH, the son of Lawrence and Bertha G. Alexander. He was a Sergeant in the U.S Air Force and proudly served from 1949- 1952. Robert earned his Bachelor’s from Ohio University in 1957. He married Monia Lee Vermillion, June 8, 1957 and they raised four children. Robert worked at Boeing Company in Seattle, for 5 years, McDonald Douglas in St. Louis, for 3 years as a Mechanical Engineer. He retired from Magnavox in 1992 as the Director of Manufacturing after 26 years of service.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Monia Lee Alexander of Fort Wayne, IN; sons, Michael (Kelly) Alexander of Auburn, IN; Curits (Stacia) Alexander of Fort Wayne, IN; daughters, Cheryl Fabian of Churubusco, IN; Diane (Dean) Hille of Fort Wayne, IN; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Faye Vance, Carol Baker and Jane McKibben.

Funeral service will be 11 am Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Covenant United Methodist Church 10001 Coldwater Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 E. Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN.
