Ray Lee Saylor, age 55, of Fort Wayne, passed away at home on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 25, 1966 to Lewis and Helen (Jones) Saylor. They preceded him in death. Ray was employed at Walmart as a mechanic and for Fort Wayne Airport as a shuttle driver, before retiring. Cooking was one of Ray's loves, and he was good at it. His other pastimes included spending time with family, fishing, and taking in car shows. Ray had a special place in his heart for his pets as well as caring for the neighborhood cats. Survivors include Ray's longtime girlfriend, Tracey Maluk, of Fort Wayne; a sister, Audrey (Mark) Caudill of Fort Wayne; a brother, Jim Saylor of Fort Wayne; and a half-sister, Angie Hellman, of Fort Wayne. Ray will also be missed by several of his nieces and nephews, great-nephews and one great-niece. Along with his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a sister and a nephew. In lieu of flowers, Ray's family asks that donations be made to Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control, Hope For Animals or to the National Kidney Foundation of Fort Wayne. There are no services scheduled.
