Priscilla retired from Central Soya, as an Executive Secretary to the President, after more than 35 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Tawasi Chapter of the Professional Secretaries International, and was named Secretary of the Year, in 1982. She was a lifelong follower of Christ and His teachings, and an active member of the Church of Christ. Priscilla was an avid piano player, accompanying various church choirs, and her family. She loved to entertain, and was an exceptional seamstress, sewing for her daughters through the years, including their wedding gowns, and bridesmaids' dresses. She was a wonderful grandma/great-grandma, who loved spending time with her grandchildren/great-grandchildren, watching them grow and mature. Priscilla is survived by her children, Edward (Monette) King, Deborah (David) McFadden, Betsy (Lynn) Ragsdale; grandchildren, Michelle, April, Chad, Michael, Shannon, Aaron, Dave, Scott, Erin, and Nerlita; 27 great-grandchildren; siblings, Connie Morgan, Judy Greer, and Jerrold Kannel; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband and High School Sweetheart of more than 50 years, Edward Eugene King; granddaughter, Tara Ragsdale; and brother, Ira Kannel.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, May 2, 2022, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
