Patricia Ann "Patty" Payne Martone

Patricia Ann "Patty" Martone, 81, of Fort Wayne, died on Manday, July 9, 2012, 3:42a.m., at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born Nov. 19, 1930, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late James Payne and Blanche (Norton) Payne. She was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She was an educator with Fort Wayne Community Schools. Surviving are her husband, Anthony S. Martone of Fort Wayne; two sons, Michael Anthony (Theresa Papas) Martone of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Timothy James (Amy) Martone of Fort Wayne; three grandsons, Anthony "Sam" Martone, Nicholas V. Pappas and Benjamin James Martone; brother, Wayne Arthur (Ruth Sprunger) Payne of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, with visitation one hour prior. Monsignor Robert Schulte officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St., with a Vigil service at 7:45 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
