Patricia A. "Pat" Forbes

Patricia A. “Pat” Forbes, 75, of Fort Wayne passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. She was born on October 30, 1943, a daughter of the late David and Margaret (Zirkel) Slattery. She worked primarily as a special education assistant, but also at Kroger Market, and as a teaching assistant at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic School. In her free time she enjoyed latch hook, painting, ceramics, sewing, crocheting, singing, and gardening. Family was very important to her and she greatly enjoyed spending time with them. Surviving family include her husband, Thomas C. Forbes, Sr.; children, Thomas C. Forbes, Jr., Carol Reed, Kyra Young, and Alice Witt; grandchildren, Camarie, Carissa, Caraghan, Cassidee, Clarianne, Callihan, Carlynde, Katrina, Corbin, Matthew, and Danielle; three great grandchildren; and sister, Barbara “Barb” Pusateri. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her stepfather, Clarence Miller; and sister, Constance “Connie” Humphery. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11337 US-27, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Allen County SPCA.
