Ola M. Wendel, 96, originally from Garrett,IN passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Heritage Point of Warren. Ola was born June 11, 1928 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to Hubert and Anna (Spears) Sowder. She is survived by her children, Brenda Leeper(Don) and James Wendel Jr; grandchildren, Kim Gillie (Steve) and Nikole Whitaker (Bryan); 5 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Tawnie Miller, parents and 8 siblings. In keeping with Ola’s wishes, the family will celebrate her life with a private service.
