Michelle A. Amstutz, 54, of Fort Wayne, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1, 2016, All Saints Day. Born on February 1, 1962, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late, David Miller, and surviving Maria (Don) Reigies, mother-in-law, LaVerne Amstutz. A member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish, Ft. Wayne, she was the Vice President of the family business, JMA Mechanical, and a devoted mother and wife. A true ministry was serving as a leader of the Ft. Wayne Chapter of The Compassionate Friends, for parents who have lost children. Her passions were her children, spending time at the lake, photography and flower gardening.
She is also survived by her husband of 35 years, Keith A. Amstutz; children, Matthew (Stephanie) Amstutz and Amanda Amstutz; one grandchild on the way; brother, Mark (Amy) Miller; step-mother, Shirley Miller; step-siblings, Brad (Sandra) Taner, Jeff (Diane) Taner, Michele (Tom) Quick; three brother-in-law’s and two sister-in-law’s; as well as several nieces, nephews and God-children. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joshua Amstutz, in 2007.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Tuesday, November 8, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish, 1502 East Wallen Road, Ft. Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from Noon to 4 and 5 to 8pm, Monday, November 7, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Ft. Wayne, with a Vigil service at Noon. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Ft. Wayne. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be given to the Ft. Wayne Chapter of The Compassionate Friends, Northeast Fire District or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish.
