Michael Lorenz Lollis was born on March 25, 1942, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late John P. Lollis and Alvin Lucille Headen. Michael was raised by his Beloved Paternal Grandmother Bessie Lollis.
Michael attended Springfield High School. He put in the work at Kings Shoe Department Store and was promoted and relocated to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1973. Shortly thereafter Michael met and married the love of his life Maggie Rutledge. Michael was a family man and great provider. He worked for Fort Wayne Foundry for over 30 years as a supervisor.
Michael became a member of the East Chestnut Church of Christ where he serviced as an Usher. Michael served as a leading brother and remained faithful until his health declined.
Michael was an avid golfer and loved watching basketball, wrestling and football.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Maggie Lollis, sons Eric Lollis (Amy), Jeffrey Lollis (Michelle), Sean Michael Lollis (Julia) all of Springfield, Ohio and daughter Cynthia Black of Fort Wayne, Indiana. His brothers Kent D. Lollis (Yolanda) of Yardley Pennsylvania, Drue P. Lollis (Tammie) of Chicago, Illinois, and sister Lori L. Ward (Luther) of Dayton, Ohio, and a host of grand, and great grandchildren; nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Bruce “Jinx” Kidd
On Friday, December 2, 2022, Michael gave yield to God’s majestic will, and swiftly departed this earthly life at 8:42am, transitioning into his new assignment as a Guardian Angel.
