Michael David "Mike" Cole

Michael David Cole, 61, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Mike was born on February 26, 1962 in Fort Wayne. He worked for Easterseals Arc Of Northeast Indiana for 37 years and a huge advocate for the work that they do. He was very involved with the Special Olympics, earning medals in swimming and bowling. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and music. He was a member of the Bell Buddies for 25 years, even going to Washington D.C. for the lighting of the White House Christmas Tree. He was also a Colts and Yankees fan. Mike will be remembered as a very outgoing and social person. He was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Fort Wayne as well as Knights of Columbus. Surviving family include his mother, Patricia Cole; sisters, Mary (Curt) Coy, Martha (Jim) Corbat, Monica (Curt) Mundon, and Maureen (Tom) Pegelow; three nieces, seven nephews; 27 great nieces and nephews; and three great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his father, George Cole. Prayer service will be 3:00 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne with visitation two hours prior. The service will be streamed live on the funeral home's Facebook page. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
