Max Homer Stinson, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1934 in Wells County to the late Charles H. and Helen L. (Garrison) Stinson. Max enjoyed farming and had retired from B. F. Goodrich. He was a member of Antioch Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hoagland, IN. Surviving him are his wife, Mary Ann Heiser - Stinson of Fort Wayne; children, Jack L. (Vivian) Stinson of Ossian, Dan L. (Pam) Stinson of Decatur, Trudy M. Jones of Fort Wayne, Mike, L. (Erin) Stinson of Preble, Randy L. (Sonya) Stinson of Decatur, and Debra (Sean) Maroney of Huntertown; brother, David L. (Margy) Stinson of Huntington; step children, Barry (Becky) Heiser, Linda (Todd) Linn, and Dawn (Barry) Leffers; 20 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and 17 step great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by great grandson, Brycen Lee. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation for Max will also be held Monday, May 15, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Indiana. Contributions in Max's memory may be made to Antioch Evangelical Lutheran Church or Samaritan’s Purse.
