Mary Lou Gigli

Mary Lou Gigli, 82, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Martha Monnier. She was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband of 40 years, Louis P. Gigli, Jr. Mary Lou worked as a Receptionist at Southwest Hair and Day Spa for 16 years. Mary Lou enjoyed cooking, caring for, and spending time with her family and many lifelong friends. She loved attending her grandchildren's athletic events and activities. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and formerly a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are her children, Laura Gigli of Ossian, IN, David (Teresa) Gigli of Austin, TX, Lisa (Michael) Palmer of Fort Wayne, and Michael (Michele) Gigli of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren, Ryan Palmer, Tony Gigli, Zach Palmer, Joe Gigli, Amanda (Bob) Wyatt, Sarah Gigli, Eric (Sarah) Gigli, Matthew Gigli, Matthew Palmer, Mick Palmer, and Mitchell Gigli; great-granddaughter, Harper Grace Gigli; her siblings, Patricia (Bob) Heintzelman of Muncie, IN, Jim (Lucy) Monnier, and Jack (Sandy) Monnier both of Fort Wayne. Mary Lou was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, LeighAnn Marie Palmer who passed away in 1995; and her parents, Elmer and Martha Monnier. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Rd, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd, on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 3:30 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank Englewood Health and Rehab for the love and care they gave their mother for the last three years.
